06 Apr How To Bring Butter To Room Temperature Quickly
Do you want 20 minutes of your time back when baking?
- When you get an uncontrollable urge to bake something sweet and decadent there is nothing worse than having to sit around and wait for refrigerated butter to reach room temperature. Sure, you could probably throw it into the microwave, but sometimes that melts the butter rather which is not what you want….and what if you don’t have a microwave. Well here are a couple of simple hacks to help you get butter to room temperature quickly so that you can get baking immediately.
- Cut the butter stick into small little cubes of butter. By doing this, the surface area of the butter is increased which will help it reach room temperature faster
- Place it near a hot oven or by the window sill so that the direct sunlight can help speed up the process.
What you can do is have a butter dish with lid on your countertop. This will keep the butter at room temperature and providing it has a tight fitting airtight lid, your butter will remain fresh. Check out the Butler & Chef range of Butter Dishes With Lids
